On tap an Old Chapel Pub in Karlsruhe. Pours an amber color, fluffy off-white head. Aroma is malty, as is the flavor, not too roasted. It’s pretty straightforward. Just a light malty beer.

Heller, sehr hefiger Beginn mit Kaffeenoten. Süffig, hell malzig, stimmig. Dann trocken werdend, leicht alkoholisch (was überrascht). Süffiges und nettes Bier ohne Besonderheiten. 10/9/10/10//10

Draught at the brauhaus in Durlach, especially brewed for the Irish Week
Cloudy red-dark amber color; creamy head. Mild aroma, caramel (lightly biscuity) and hop (with a fruity side), and some yeast. Strong caramel flavor, with a touch of roasted malts, that becomes more dominant in the end; good body strength; it has the fruity and yeasty character of an Ale... Strong bitterness, also because of the dry, roasted malts. Once again, the Vogel brewer proposes something interesting (at least inside Germany), and correctly brewed.
