On tap at Goldener Hahn Lippstadt. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, not too roasty. Some mild earthy notes. Finish still mild, almost a bit washy. But quite drinkable. Okay.

Dunkel herber Antrunk, eher flach, kurze Zeit später aber deutlich würziger werdend. Wenig malziger Abgang, etwas bitter und trocken. 12/9/10/9//9

Poured up on tap at the Goldener Hahn in Lippstadt into a half liter mug. It has an amber body with some copper hues and nice inch tall tan head. The aroma offers up a dash of fresh grainy malts as well as some sweet dark fruity esters and faint spicy and earthy hops. The taste is similar with a mild level of roasted malts mixing with blue berry and raisin dark fruity esters and a solid undercurrent of earthiness. It gets a bit grainy and almost wort like here and there. Very easy drinking and refreshing. I could drink liters and liters of this stuff. I think I’ll go back for more.
