Moderately sour, a bit of oak and smoke with bruised apples. The mouth is a bit lifeless with oak and green apple. Too light. A bit boring

On tap at One Mile House, pours a hazy amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma is very dirty, with strange earthy mustiness to it, like you're smelling soil. Flavour follows accordingly, with lots of earth, soil, some balsamic and burnt notes on the finish. Truly bizarre. Too burnt and dirty for my tastes.

Bottle at Maruho, 1500 yen. Prairie TRVE vs. Prairie Sour Red Farmhouse Ale 6.66% An opaque reddish orange brown pour with a thick beige head. The aroma is tart, berries, oak, chocolate and nuts. Light bodied and dry, the taste is lightly oaky, nutty bready chocolate chip cookies, tart red berries and cocoa. Quite good, tart ascerbic sharp but easy drinking.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish hazel, large puffy beige head, dissipates slowly, nice residual, good lacing. Aroma is funky, dust, varnish, hints of berry, loads of old wood tannin. Like entering an old office full of wooden furniture and paneling with a musty smell to it. Flavor is light sweet, light tart, minimal bitterness, loads of musty wood again. Light plus funkiness. Medium body. I know this isn’t getting the ratings, but I quite like it.

Bottle from Florida Pours a fairly hazy deep copper color with a huge bubbly tan head that slowly dissipates. Deep rich caramel with earthy funk and lightly tart fruit on top. More caramel in the flavor with a bit of tart lactic sourness as well as a sour cherry pie earth funk going on. Pretty decent beer.

Draught. Hazy copper/dark orange with very small frothy off-white head, acidic aroma, low carbonation, tart taste with caramel, thickish body, long tart caramel finish. Interesting brew.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a slight earthy red hue and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has an earthy leafy note with a light nuttiness and a touch of sour red fruits. Flavor has the same musty leaf note with a bit of earthy grain and some light red sour fruits.
