Bottle, poured into a hotel plastic cup. Pours black, with a big, fine, frothy, tan head. The aroma is toffee, caramelized sugar, peat and light smoke, and dark cherries. Sweet and sugary, with a light, roasty bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a syrupy, dusty palate. This is a lovely, pleasantly smoky scotch ale.

Bottle sample at the last tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Tom L. Hazy amber. Aroma of malt, dark fruits and caramel. Sweet flavor, malty, caramelly and fruity, slightly sugary, with a spicy alcoholic touch in the finish. Medium-bodied. A bit too much alcohol flavor.
