Bottle from Brauerei Rapp. Bright golden, medium creamy white head. Notes of hay in the nose. Grass, grain, hay, a bit citrus. Medium bitter, but not hoppy. Slight metallic taste. Soft to flat carbonated. More a bitter Helles than a Pils. Sadly a bit flat and not that crisp as I expect it from a Pils.

(screw cap bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Slightly skunky grassy hoppy aroma with a strawy malty background and a tinge of metal. Light.bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Soft pale malty base with grassy hops; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish. A rather mediocre Pilsener. 16.XI.10

bottle from Rapp-Heimdienst. Clear deep golden yellow colour, large white head. Resiny-hoppy nose. Full and solid malty base with lots of resiny-herbal hops. Dry and hop-accented. Lovely hop profile! Their Pilsner is more like a Bohemian Pilsner, this one is more like a classic German. Whatever the style - it’s a good one.
