Pours dark golden with a creamy white head and lacings. Grainy aroma. A bit of alcohol and caramel.

Heller, später dunkler werdender Beginn, angenehme Würzigkeit, rund. Leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung, runder milder Hopfen. Vollmundiger Mittelteil und Nachgeschmack, etwas hefig. 10/11/11/11//11

2011-05-04, growler 1 liter from the brauhaus in Ettlingen, 7-4-7-3-15=36
Hazy amber color; medium sized head. Nice aroma of biscuity malts, dry, with light scent of toasted malts and raw cereals. The mouthfeel is rather dry; flavor of malt, biscuity malt, some roasted malt; as expected from Vogel, the bitterness is high, more than the style average, although the hops are not aromatic. Strong final, dry too, a bit aggressive.

Cloudy orange-golden color. The aroma is malty, and a bit earthy (light manure), with delicate quality hopping. Although the bitterness is high as usual at Vogel, the body is a bit rounder and clearly more malty than usual (other beers); there is some sweetness, and light fruity touch. As usual the final is well bitter.
A really bitter Bock. Good.
