Smokey nose with fruity hints. The beer starts interesting smokey-fresh, not deep in body. Fresh, smooth, pear only in the background. The smoke is not too heavy, but dominating the smooth body. The fruitiness is only in the background, not too deep, but round.

500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Smoky "Mettwurst" aroma. Taste is slightly tart, salty, subtle sweetness, a touch of pear, smoky, woody overtones; soft, slightly oily palate. Though I’d prefer pear over apple in theory, I must admit a superiority of the apple version here.
