750ml bottle. Opaque, darkest chestnut, quasi black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Aroma has BA notes in front, oak, wood, some vanilla, peaty and smoky background with a touch of smoked eel and minimally chocolately, dark malty flavours, a tannic touch, some leather. Taste is slightly dry, smoky, peaty, woody, oaky and tannic, chocolately and caramel malty basis, hints of treacle and chocolate, a touch of letaher. The woody BA notes somehow decompose the heavier chocolately and peaty-smoky conglomerate of the base beer, No improvement or refinement here...

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks David Cohen. Very dark brown. Malt, smokiness, caramel, sweet, nuts, medium-bodied. Pretty nice, slightly too sweet.

Weicher, angenehm süß-rauchiger Antrunk. Mild würzig-holzig, leicht herb. Zum Mittelteil leicht süß, spritzig, weich bitter. Treiben. 10/10/9/10//10
