Bottle @ OAK Wine and Craft Beer, Naples. Pours hazy dark ruby brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel and touches of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, offset by sweetish notes of caramel amlt and yeast and some acidic touches. Dry aftertaste with bitter and rough touches and estery and malty hints. Reasonable.

Draft at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours a wonderful plum brown with nice reflections and a moderate whitish foam, medium irregular. Aroma is fairly malty and caramel, cherries. Body is fairly dense with limited carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet with a hint of a sour backdrop. Finish is long and sweet.

Dark amber colour. Strong accent of cereals, some alcohol, touch of vegetables; good body strength, some caramel, light residual sweetness.
Unexciting.

330 ml bottle. Pours an orange brown with little head. Aromas of vegetal sugar. Flavors of brown sugar, sweet bready matls and a load of DMS

330mL bottle, pours a dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of caramel, bready malt, some peat, and boiled vegetables. Flavour is along the same lines, with peat, boiled vegetables, and toasted caramel. Quite vegetal, which distracts from the peat and caramel. A bit off the mark.

Tap @King Arthur (Ciampino). Deep copper pour, amberish foam. Nose: hints of dried fruits, (Eng) malts, leather, cherries. Quite silky aroma. Mouth: warming sensation of cherry spirit, easy...clean, medium-soft carbo, softly malty, big character. Top for me!

Draught Small yellowish head over fully hazy dark brown beer. Liquorice, sweet, caramel and even toffee. Sweet liquorice, but also fragrant herbs (basil?). Again caramel, if seriously dilated. Meidum bodied, slick, Aftertaste has a strange, rosemary-like flavour. No way bad, if just not what I think of as a Scotch ale.
