Bottle shared at the July THT. Very dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Notes of bourbon - boatloads of it - vanilla, dried fruit, light tobacco, prunes, raisins. Medium body and carbonation and a sweet and alcohol warming finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Heavy Bell on 10 Jul 2017 at 12:21 - Score: 8

Growler from the Decatur Ale Yeah! from their 4.5 year anniversary. Pours a dark, ruby brown, with a small, tan head. The nose is strong caramel, oak, vanilla, and nutmeg. Lots of booze. The flavor is very sweet and warming, with a little savory spice. Heavy body, powdery, thick, and lightly carbonated. This is a pretty nice bourbon barrel aged Quad; the bourbon character is lovely, but it overwhelms the dark fruits and subtle character of the base beer. I definitely prefer Quasimodo.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is dark fruits, figs, wood. Medium mouthfeel with nice dark fruit, candy sugar, caramel, very nice.
