Thx! for sharing DutchDrebus & Benzai! Sampled draft @ Van Moll Fest 2016. Benzai assured me that this one was a lot better when it first came out. Murky dark brown, reddish with no head. Nose is mocha, flat hazelnut, bit too umami, big sugar. Taste is mocha, flat, syrup almost vinous, lightly herbal, tad too umami,… Simple, oak, one note not very outspoken, cheap sweetness. Lesser keg I suppose going by Benzai’s comment, surly it couldn’t have gone downhill so much in just a few days?

@ van moll fest. Lacks chocolate and sweetness in the taste. Quite watery, too much carbo imo.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub shared with Joes. Opaque dark brown to black color, average sized light brown head that diminishes almost instantly. Aroma is malts, dark malts, nice hops coming through with a nice nutty malty finish. Taste malts, dark malt, nutty, hazelnuts, soft roast, hops, nice bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice!
