Heller, hopfig herber Beginn mit erhöhter Karbonisierung, dumpf. Spritzig, süffig, dunkel würziger Hintergrund. Trocken herber, mild getreidiger Abgang. Nett, wenn auch schnell vergessen. 10/9/9/9/8/9

Dann lieber Mineralwasser ...

Bottled. An unclear orange beer with an orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit and wheat. The flavor is sweet with a slight acicidy underneath, and notes of malt, straw, and wheat, leading to a dry finish.

The bottle looks a bit simple for a festbier, the beer in the glass is okay. Starts sourish and dry, the finish is weeker, almost washy. Should be spicier. Not so good!

Bügelverschlußflasche: Cloudy, orangey coloured, quickly diminishing off-white foam; fruity (oranges) sweet-grainy and yeasty nose with a touch of herbal hops; moderate, quite dry, bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit fizzy; "oaky"-hoppy, bitter finish with a touch of caramel. Not bad, a well rounded and tasty brew......

(swing top bottle) Hazy, orange colour with a big and fluffy white foam. Slightly sweet and yeasty, quite fruit-accented (oranges, apricots) aroma with a slightly flowery background. Moderately yeasty, slightly biscuity and citrus fruity taste with a tinge of honey and a light herbal background. Sweet-bitter, malty and restrained fruity finish. Balanced and refreshing Zwickel-/Kellerbier. The only brew of the Karmeliter assortment that is filled in swing tops instead of the old-fashioned Euro2 bottles.
