0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', best before November 2020. Slightly hazy, deep reddish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, gently fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and red fruits. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of caramel, red fruits, a touch nuts and traces of grains, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit nutty finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Pleasant Red Lager, not too deep but quite smooth, well-executed.

Tap (@Stehbierhalle): Hazy, light amber coloured with a - yes - reddish sheen, small and persistent lacy and creamy off-white head, mild to moderate sweet-bitter malty-caramelly nose with a barnyardy (old vegetables) touch; nearly moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit harsh; drier and spicy herbal and malty finish. Just not earth-shaking...

On tap @ Stehbierhalle. Smooth grainy, refreshing with red malty back. Not much bitterness, slightly grainy, refreshing mild with a soft yeast the end. Very mild and smooth brew. --- Beer merged from original tick of DBB Rotbier on 28 Dec 2019 at 14:33 - Score: 7. Original review text: Smooth grainy, refreshing with red malty back. Süffiger, weich hellmalziger und wenig bitterer Beginn. Hohe Süffigkeit, etwas strohig, weiche Karbonisierung. Mittellanger, eher trockener Abgang. Nett. 9/8/9/10//9
