340ml bottle. Clear, brown-ish, copper colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately to mostly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma, with a touch of toffee, light herbal, leafy and citrusy hoppy overtones, a minimally doughy, yeasty touch as well. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty with hints of butterscotch and toffee, a touch of peanut, herbal and citrusy hoppy hints of lemon, lemon balm, red berries; lingering leafy and bitter hoppy finish with a touch of rooibos. Minimally creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine carbonation. Relatively dark IPA offside the mainstream.

25/4/2020. Bottle from The Savanna, Liverpool Street Station. Pours hazy orange amber with an average size white head. Aroma is piney, resinous, malty, caramel, hoppy and fruity. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Enjoyed this more than most South African beers I’ve had so far.

Bottled 330ml (Alko web) Clear copper colour, medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is piney, even some dry pinewood and fruityness. Light to medium-bodied. Piney-resiny hoppy with some caramalt and tangerine in the flavour. Clean. Ok old-school Westy IPA.
