25 cl bottle at Maison Leffe, Dinant, now changed from their former museum cantina to a foodtruck outside the hotel. Corona collateral, I guess. A reddish amber pour with a short-lived tan head. Aroma is caramel, canel, strawberry and biscuit. Mouth is dry, quite tasteless, watery, bitterless. Abrupt finish. Baaaaah.

Good beer, a bit ashy, maybe slightly showing some age. A bit sharp around the edges but a nice malty body cleans it up nicely. Online saveur bier

Fles gedeeld door BramL. Het is een helder donker amberkleurig bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een moutig wat fruitig aroma. De smaak is moutig, honing achtig met tonen van noten.

Pours foggy light amber colour with that beautiful white head leaving thick laces. Nose: Belgian yeast, overripe pears and apricots, sweet corn, light caramel. Medium to full body. Excellent mouth feel. Taste: solid malts including caramel, fruit jam, candy, spicy yeast and hop. Warming alcohol. Nice blend. In general really reminiscent of Leffe Blond, only has additional caramel malts. Highly satisfying. Damn good. P. S. No metallic features detected

330ml bottle. Pours clear amber with a tall off-white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast, caramel, slightly metallic. Taste is yeast, caramel, malt and spices.

750ml bottle from Carrefour in Calais - deep red body with a consistent white top. Nose is sweet caramel with a sweet touch of over ripe fruit. Taste is not as cloying as the Mount Hood Royale version, but still has a sweet floral toffee taste about it. Quite a nice tipple with a decent body.

Light brown colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a fair amount of caramel. A little spiciness too. Certainly some coriander.
