You hold the marriage of wine and beer. Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin Farmed Wheat and Belgian Roasted Barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year.
Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely "Wisconsin." So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet. Serve your friends Belgian Red in a brandy snifter or champagne flute and toast life with beer from the land of Wisconsin.

Bottle (thanks to Ofortuna). Sour milk, tart cherry aroma with light hint of barnyard. Cloudy red-orange-brown with small head. Sweet and sour cherry with a hint of mulling spices - similar to the sweet fruit lambics. Slightly dry acidic finish. A true work of art - phenomenal fruit beer.

Sample courtesy of a travelling fellow beer lover. This brew pours a lustrous brownish, purplish red with a medium thick and fizzy beige head that dissipates steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet cherries blended with other tart fruit, sweet spice, and wheat. Medium-bodied with a complex fruit character of fresh cherries and strawberries along with spices and malts. Light wheat and yeast undertones at times. The finish is richly fruity and tart and leaves a lingering cherry aftertaste. Quite simply the best Fruit beer I have had.

Pour is a deep dark red with a off white head. Aroma is cherries with some candi sugar and Belgain yeast. Flavor is all about the cherries. Its like drinking the best cherry pie you ever had in your life. Super deep cherry with some sweetness and ends very doughy. Probalby one of the best fruit beers i have ever had.

Bottled (thanks heemer77). Hazy reddish orange colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is lots of cherrykernels. Flavour is very nice of cherrykernels as well as some quite sour notes. Yet at the same time very wellbalanced and refreshing thing.

Hazy murky red color, small off-white head. Intensive fresh cherry aroma. Lactose and sweet cherry in the flavor. Sweet, sugary, good be more sour. Some peppery notes in the aftertaste. I was expecting more and therefore I am wondering how this is in Top50.

Bottle, 75cl. (thx to papsoe) Red, almost clear brew with a slightly artificial-feeling cherry nose, followed by almond and sugar. Marzipan, cherry and sugar in the flavor. Full, sticky mouthfeel. Astringent, citric finish with cherry. Too sweet, almondy and artificial-feeling. Unbalanced on the sweet side. Ok, so itβs a nice beer, but I canβt understand why it has so high ratings. (070510)

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, reddish with an off-white head. Distinct aroma of sweet cherries and marzipan. Medium body with rich, sweet cherries - thick and almost like cherry sauce. Extremely fruity but definitely needs something to balance the extreme sweetness. Not a bad fruit beer at all, but I simply donβt understand the high ratings on this one. So many much better New Glarus beers around. 100507
