On tap at Amsterdam Brewhouse, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is restrained, with toasted biscuity malt and some lightly sweet cereal graininess. Flavour is much the same, with toasted biscuity malt, straw, and very light grassy hops. One must wonder why an established brewery brewed a German pilsner and called it a Festbier, and then UT called it a helles. Regardless, it’s a boring beer.

Dull paleish colour. Sticky, bland. This is mailing in a beer you actually need to raise your level for.
