Big Bad Baptista is inspired by traditional Mexican coffee, Café de Olla, which is served with cinnamon and piloncillo, an unrefined sugar. The Cinnamon adds another layer of complexity and accentuates the earthy character of Mexican Coffee, but more importantly, it captures the essence of a place and its culture.

Flaska från Beer Republic. Vintage 2018.

Incredible stout, layers upon layers of goodness, with a massive dark chocolate front tempered by anise, molasses, caramel, coffee, and roast, leading to a decadent cinnamon-vanilla finish drenched in whiskey. Deep, complex, and indulgent without being cloy or boozy. Brilliant.

KJUBZT tasting June 2019. 2018 edition. Almost (but not quite) black colour. Big beige frothy head with some retention. Aroma's: big coffee and cinnamon from the glass. Retronasal it's coffee, cinnamon, cocoa and sweetness. Flavour is moderate sweet, roasted, coffee. Medium bodied. Long finish. Lovely, (but) very subtle barrel.
