Big Bad Baptista is inspired by traditional Mexican coffee, Café de Olla, which is served with cinnamon and piloncillo, an unrefined sugar. The Cinnamon adds another layer of complexity and accentuates the earthy character of Mexican Coffee, but more importantly, it captures the essence of a place and its culture.

Bottle at SBWF. Pours black with a brown head. Huge spicy chocolate with cinnamon, coffee, cocoa, coconut. Very smooth. On the sweeter side. Like a liquid dessert, so well balanced flavors. Big, bold and delicious.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a black color with a large creamy brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was strong cocoa, coffee and cinnamon-sugar. The flavor was amazingly strong cocoa powder, coffee, molasses and cinnamon-sugar. Incredibly long finish of cocoa and cinnamon that coats the tongue and will not leave. Thick and full body. Marvelous!!

Bottle shared side by side with the Big Bad Baptist. Pitch black pour with a short-lasting dark tan head. Huge cinnamon, marzipan and coconut notes, together with cocoa nibs, smooth coffee, vanilla. Absolutely amazing, so different to the BBBaptist yet soooo good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Epic Big Bad Baptista on 29 Jul 2017 at 20:50 - Score: 9. Original review text: Sooooo good. Cinnamon, bourbon, coconut, cocoa nibs. Amazing. Cheers, Ryan C. !

Bottle at Steve_0’s house. Dark brown appearance with a brown head. Aroma is full of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and some spices. Booze is well hidden. Some black pepper, chocolate, cinnamon, and fudge deliciousness. Easy drinking. Would recommend to stout fans.
