0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before November 2020. Slow gusher! Hazy, dark reddish brown to black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, pinkish beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite vinous-fruity, slightly roasty aroma of red wine, dark chocolate, marzipan, cherry and elderberry. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty, rather vinous-fruity taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, red wine, marzipan, elderberry and cherry, followed by a long, tartish, gently roasty-bitter, quite vinous, slightly yeasty finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Nice composition of flavours, the red wine and chocolate flavours match really well. The high carbonation spoils it a bit though, feels unround.
