33cl bottle from the De Achelse Kluis bottle shop.
F: medium, tan, not long lasting.
C: amber, light hazy.
A: dried fruits, banana, bready, a lot of honey, tangerine, sweet fruity.
T: full malty base, honey, bready, tangerine, pears, banana, decent bitterness yet more on the sweet side all together, soft carbonation, nothing really special here yet for me still enjoyable beer.

Oranjegeel bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van bessen, wat hout en zuurtjes. Degelijk, zeker niet slecht.

0.33 l bottle from 'Trappist Tribute', best before October 2024. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently yeasty-spicy, slightly floral aroma of honey, vanilla, some clove and light banana. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy and slightly floral taste of clove, honey, vanilla, some vegetables and light banana, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Below average trappist ale, a Tripel with potential but a little off. Disappointing.

Pours clear, darker blonde. Medium sized, seemingly very stable white head. Scent is not as much on the banana as is typical, more to the spicy side, as phenols do seem to take the lead here. Taste is clearly a tripel though, the swet/bitter combo is where it's expected at, pretty center actually for the style. The lower amount of esters (not absent) makes this a bit less 'deep' or complex than the truly greats. The mouthfeel is medium, carbonation medium high. This isnt a bad tripel, really. Forgeteable, appart from the whole trappist from Spain thing, but I also mean that as 'not memorable less good' as much as I mean that for the more obvious 'not a standout'.

Bottle, 7%. Caramelly aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Almost no head. The flavour is caramelly with low bitterness. Spicy brown sugar notes. Malt syrup and nicely bready finish.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tulip glass. Colour medium amber, slightly hazy, fair off-white frothy head, mostly diminishing. Aroma sweet malt, light orange, peach, yeast, light lactose. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, light malty, fruity, yeast, cardboard. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, bit harsh mouthfeel, sweetbitter aftertaste, cardboard, spicy notes, makes an unfinished impression and not (yet) a real tripel, decent enough to drink.
