330ml bottle. Pours lightly hazed amber with an enormous beige head. Aroma: malt, an odd sour note too. Taste: spritzy, sour, peach, a little yeast. Medium body & ridiculously over-carbonated. Very very odd, if I was told it was infected I wouldn't be surprised. Certainly not what I was expecting

Thanks to Erzengel! Pours amber with a huge white head - massively carbonated. Aroma of lactic malt. Taste is a bit shocking, has huge sour lactic notes, stone fruit. Palate has some salt, lactic notes, a little yeasty. Good but....nothing close to what I expected.

0,33 l bottle of course again from Erzengel. Thanks a lot, mate! An unclear flat pale copper in the glass, one finger white head. Musty old oak smell, some winery fruits in the background. Taste has some fruity sourness but not like infected. Some malt, fruity, maybe peach, not boozy. Low carbonated. It´s a grower, getting better sip by sip. Easy drinking stuff, not bad but expected more from the name Four Roses.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Malty alcoholic aroma. Starts malty, light sourish touch. Also some alcoholic notes. Fruity notes of peaches. Finish again malty-sourish. Strange. Doesnt taste like a doppelbock.

Bottle. Thanks to Gabriel/Erzengel. Cheers! Sweet fruity yeasty aroma, with a slightly peaty edge. Creamy off-white head soon recedes. Dark amber body. Light bitter with a sour edge that comes to the fore. A hint of booze lingers in the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. I was expecting this to be a hit of boozy sweetness but I guess the barrel aging had taken the edge of the sweetness pretty much entirely, leaving a sour mash (a phrase I've included primarily because it sounds good). It's actually all rather restrained but still enjoyable.

28-12-19 // 330ml bottle thanks to erzengel. Clear amber golden. Minimal white head. Nose of sweet vanilla and hints of tonka. Soft malty bock. Not too sweet. A mild vanillanote. Soft wishky notes. Good.
