Seven Mountains Brewery 8, Belgian Strong Ale, Fläschchen aus Lokaltausch DE von Kölschtrinker - Danke, Roman! - Dunkelrotbraun, leicht trüb. - In der Nase tiefes dunkles Malz mit säuerlichem Stich. - Antrunk satt dunkelmalzig mit Anklängen an Honig, Kandis und Lakritz, dominiert von einer störenden milchsäuerlichen Note, die so ganz gewiß nicht beabsichtigt war, aber bei einem prinzipiell lagerfähigen Starkbier auf hygienische Mängel hindeutet. Dünner, leicht metallischer Abgang. - Die Brauerei hat in offensichtlicher Überschätzung ihres Könnens das MHD auf dem Etikett handschriftlich von 30.12.2019 in ...2020 geändert und muß sich daher beim Wort nehmen lassen. Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, almost black. Small head. Roasty malty aroma. Starts intense malty, roasty, not too dry. Mild sourish touch, also some cocoa hints. Finish well balanced, malty-earthy, still some sourish hints. Interesting one!

Shared @ Koelschtrinker's tasting. Rich and caramelly with a nice bittered back. Long and dry fruits, raisins and plums, very dry and concentrated with lots of dry brown sugars. Caramelly dry with a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste, very round and nice.

33cl bottle. A dark orange brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of raisins, strong moderate sweet dark malt. Taste of raisins, chocolate caramel, honey, dark red malt.

Süßlich malziger, trocken herber Beginn. Feine Herbe, Noten von Karamell, der trockene Hintergrund bleibt. Süffiger, würzig herber Abgang. Malzig nachhallend. 9/10/10/10/8/10
