The color is blond. The aroma is mostly set by the presence of Amarillo and Simcoe. These provide the typical herbal en floral flavours. Hints of orange zest and caramel run together with tropical fruits into a long, refreshing, bitter aftertaste. Brewed by Anders!

Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is fruitig, bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van ananas, mango en een fijne bitterheid. Smaak blijft lang hangen.

Taste: grassy bitterness, very European hop flavours, some citrus, bit chemical. Aftertaste: very bitter, quite some band-aid, bit metallic, citrus, grassy, dry finish, medicinal.

Draught No head, mud-filled ochre-malm coloured beer. Very spicy nose, with quite ureum-rich hops, also other green herbs. Beer turns out to be a bit of "hopwater", if again fresh green herbs - apparently low-alpha hops, quite nice. Very light body; aftertaste carries more malts, all the same. Not half bad - just its looks!

Bottle at Beerlovers Bar, from a beer firm in the wider Antwerp area. Irregularly shaped, moussy, off-white, lightly lacing head, lightly hazy golden blonde colour with vague orangey hue, misty with sediment. Aroma of lychee, mango, candied lemon, white bread, some ’old hop urine’, unripe kiwi, apple peel, minerals, pear. Crisp and fruity onset, lots of kiwi, starfruit and green banana impressions, hint pear perhaps, minerally carbonation, refreshing. Supple, smooth mouthfeel, ’fuller’ than expected from a session IPA, on a lightly bready core. Aromatic, bit resinous, delicate hop finish, citrus and some mango even, with malty ’juiciness’ passing through as well as some yeastiness. There are still not too many ISAs around in this country but as far as I’m concerned, there cannot be enough of them, I hope more of the newer Belgian micro breweries are interested to venture into this style, which is brilliant from a functional point of view, and delicate and rich from a pure flavor point of view. This can stand among the best of the Belgian session IPAs, limited as this group of beers may be.
