Smak Kasztelana narodził się w Sierpcu. Nasze piwo warzymy korzystając wyłącznie z naturalnych, wyselekcjonowanych składników: polskiego słodu jęczmiennego, dwurzędowego jęczmienia, krystalicznie czystej wody i starannie dobranych odmian chmielu. Smak Kasztelana narodził się w Sierpcu. 500 ml. green bottle purchased at a store that apparently had a Polish sign, advertised Polish beers but clearly stated “Russian Products” in Cyrillic in large letters on the front. They sold a mishmash of Polish, Russian, Ukrainian & probably other goods as well. Basically one of those East-European mishmash stores. Drank / sampled straight from the bottle. Corn, white bread & faint green vegetables noes. Taste corn, white bread, green vegetables, sugar, malt,… Medium, faintly lively body,… Despite all of this it was surprisingly inoffensive, almost enjoyable for what it was, not bad for a random pale lager but still not something that I am too crazy about drinking a full bottle from, just less bad than others of its sad kind.

Barwa jasnozłota, klarowna, niewielka i szybko znikająca piana. W aromacie słodowy, wyczuwalny DMS, lekko utleniony, winny. W smaku słodowy, ponownie czuć nuty utlenienia, lekki alkohol, wyczuwalna goryczka niska w stronę średniej, nuty zbożowe. Pełnia maksymalnie średnia, wysycenie średnie do wysokiego. Typowy koncerniak, kiedyś chyba było lepsze, teraz to po prostu eurolager o przeciętnych parametrach, bez wielkich wad i zalet, nieco tylko lepszy od wyrobów Kompanii Piwowarskiej i szeroko dostępnych piw w marketach.

Huge thanks Cero for the can! Shared with heavy. Golden body with a tiny white head. Sweet apple aroma, alcohol. Malty, appley taste, alcohol. Empty, unappealing finish. Generic, bad, slightly stronger lager. Definitely not something I’d return to if I had a choice.

0.5l can. Pours golden with whiteish head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is grains, malt. Flavor is sweet, grains, malt. Finish has some bitterness. Overall: ok lager.

Can 500ml. Clear golden color, small white head. Aroma is hart with malts and green apple. Light-bodied. Low carbonation and bitterness. Sweet with green apple and even some alcohol. Industrial bulk.

Boks fra den polske matbutikken i Rantzausgade: klar gylden med kort hvitt skum. Litt mer aroma og smak enn standard eurolager, men ikke så lye at det er verdt å utbrodere. Antydning til citrus.

Can from Polish shop in Gent, Belgium. Very pale colour, white foam. Sweet malty aroma, very light bitterness. No off flavours. Easy drinkable. Ok lager.

Can from an Eastern European grocers in Bedminster, Bristol. golden in colour, with a slight white head. Aroma had a touch of grassy hop, sharp citrus and some sweetish malts. Flavour was similar, with a pleasantly bitter, and lingering, finish. Decent drinking.
