The secrets to the perfect, fresh taste of Kasztelan Unpasteurised is the omission of pasteurisation and the original recipe from the Sierpc Brewery.
Smak Kasztelana narodził się w Sierpcu. Nasze piwo warzymy korzystając wyłącznie z naturalnych, wyselekcjonowanych składników: polskiego słodu jęczmiennego, dwurzędowego jęczmienia, krystalicznie czystej wody i starannie dobranych odmian chmielu. To właśnie ich umiejętne połączenie wraz z doświadczeniem naszych piwowarów nadaje Kasztelanowi smak uczciwie uwarzonego piwa.

500ml can from a Polish shop in Maidenhead. Nothing really to say about this. Just an average pale lager. Does what it says on the tin.

Many thanks to kevnic123 for this beer! 500ml can. Nose is grainy and strange. The beer starts grainy, smooth, slightly bitter. Hints of alcohol in the aftertaste, nothing good for 5.7%. The aftertaste is long, grainy, sharp, alcohol, slightly bitter.

Can, 0.50l, courtesy of Maurizio. Clear deep golden color with mid-sized frothy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma is grassy, herbal, grainy and bready. Taste starts with moderate sweet toasted malt, follows by bready and grassy sourness, dry mouthfeel and medium bitter finish. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Pretty good for everyday (ab)use...

Bottled 500ml. -from Carrefour Oswiecim. Golden coloured, medium sized airy white head, mild grassy/grainy nose. Moderate malty, grainy and mild herbal hoppy with hint of caramel in rather malty finish. To be honest not bad at all.
