Bottle 45 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a rich and lacing, white head. Yeasty aroma, soft banana esters. Kinda light in body, soft mouthfeel, faint banana notes and a dry finish. Everything is a little muted here, but clean and all that. 011222

Draught in a restaurant, low carbonisation, orange hazy pour; aromas of orange, and banan, tastes similar, slightly bitter taste, no cloves or similar, nice wheat beer, but nothing special

Pretty standard Hefeweizen. Solid, but nothing I’d go out of my way for.

300ml bottle. Hazy, dark amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Wheaty malty and slightly yeasty fruity aroma, hints of dried banana, a touch of clove, leafy overtones. Taste is dry, grassy hoppy, wheaty malty yeasty fruity, phenolic hints of banana. Watery texture, dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite simple, monotonous - so-so.

This Wheat poured a cloudy, amber colour with a creamy, off white head. Medium lacing. Scents include light cloves, wieners (yeast) and bubblegum. First swig was thin and watery. Flavours of cloves, yeast and wiener water. Finish is lightly hoppy with spice flavour lingering.

Can under Grolsch Weizen Wheat Beer at the LCBO. Pours a slight hazed golden-amber colour with a big creamy warm cap, very long retention and some patchy lacing. Big wheat, sweet nose with the bananas in full force and hints of bubblegum. Thankfully, the flavours are not as rich. Not syrupy, but more on the refreshing side. Banana-wheat taste, but not sticking. Well-brewed to be crisp enough to enjoy, as many of this style are hard to have a full one.
