At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly beige head, cloudy very light brown to orange color, aroma of strawberry jam and brown bread, jammy flavor with some nuttiness and oxidised notes in the back, light bitterness and a light sourness which feels out of place, Not too good, probably a bit old.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas & Max. 8%. Murky amber-brown. Aroma of malt, caramel, toast, dark bread, some fruitiness, yeast, oxidation, a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, dark bread, some oxidation, some fruitiness, a bitterish finish, and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied.

Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Deep brown amber, solid off-white head. Nose is metallic, strongly herbal, sugary sweet. Taste is herbal, sugary, licorice, leaves, overly sweet, some Belgian characteristics,… Body is thick sugar & some yeast. Overly sweet & simple, not really into it. I never seem to get these highly rater bock’s.

Dark red-brown and thin head. With the glass, this looks for all the world like Schlenkerla Urbock. Aroma has nice maltiness, slightly chewy, and with light toffee...not really all that hoppy mind you.

Red brown colour. Texture is really rich, smooth and creamy. Quite a sweet malty taste with caramel then a touch of bitterness in the finish. Hop comes through in the aftertaste quite well.

On tap at BQ Naviglio Grande, Milano, Italy. Clear amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, dried fruits and some notes of caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel and hops with dried fruits and alcohol. Rather sweet finish with hint of spices. Interesting but unbalanced.
