Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspired version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

Clear dark blond to orange beer, small irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity start, bit funky, yellow summer fruit. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: soft sourness, lactic acidity, bit funky, salty touch, fruity notes. Aftertaste: very fruity, bit sour, funky, weird yet refreshing.

Sampled from bottle @ Ratebeer Belgian Winter Gathering 2016. Clear lightly pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste are both salty, lightly plant-like, lightly tart, a hint of fruitpeel. Meh, nothing special imo.

Bottled. Lightly acidic nose, coriander, herbs. Glowing deep golden color. More tart than the nose reveals, lemon, a bit lactic, salt. Too herbal for me, with a light sourness. Oily, smooth body. Decent but I would prefer less spice and herbs.

Draught at BeerTemple. Lacing, off-white, medium thick head, light hazy golden blonde colour. Aroma of briny sea salt, damp hay, sourish old sweat, Sauerkraut, chicken broth, coriander seed, mouldy lemon. Estery fruitiness in onset, gooseberry, soapy wheatiness and smooth barley under a drying, yoghurty lactic tartness, softish carbo, dryingly tart finish with soapy coriander and a soft saltiness lingering. Typical Gose in all, but not the most impressive one I had so far.

250 ml. draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Lightly hazy bright golden. Head collapses very quickly. Nose is boring, metallic, basic corn & white sugar sweet with grain, bad candy sweet with light minerals. Taste is boring metallic, low basic citrus sour mix with generic sugar & grain sweetness, corn, quite dull, simple & boring, finish is rather salty, low mineral quality. Dull & a bit thin. Quite disappointing, way too simple, boring at most, drinkable. Hope that the bottle that I have of this one is better. I definitely expected more from Almanac.
