Bottle from Rewe. Deep caramel with a medium head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Flavour is chocolate, malt, bitter sweet, dry finish.

16.08.2016/24.09.2017 -- 0.5l bottle from köstritzer taster pack in marktkauf/edeka. pours a clear deep amber with a medium off-white head and some lacing. aroma of caramel malts, mushrooms. flavour of caramel, roast, leaves, a hint of chocolate. sweetish slightly bitter finish. ok(ish). 06.06.2018 -- an out-of-date bottle (bb 07.02.2017). lots of not very pleasant biscuity malts on the nose, like in a non-alcoholic beer. will keep the old rating though.

10-08-16 / 500ml bottle. Nice amber colour with solid white head. Some caramel notes and slighty bitter hops. Expexted worse.

0,5 l bottle. Clear dark red in the glass, big beige head. Looking really good. Very low malty on the nose. Taste starts malty, some sweetness in the background, little bit fruity, citrus and cherry, low grain and caramell, hints of metallic. Soft. Smooth bitterness with grain in the aftertaste. Not my kind of beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear red color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty grainy weak hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty grainy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel finish with weak hoppy hints.

Thank you Mathieu87 & PriorL! 500 ml. bottle sampled @ “Mathieu’s house cooling party”. BBF 16.10.2015. Dark red amber, off-white. Nose is metallic, herbal, insecticide, herbal & some oxidation, low. Taste Is oxidation, age, herbal, insecticide, rotting berries, leaves, oxidized apple notes,… Dusty, oxidized body. Ravaged by time it seems, too bad, wouldn’t mind trying a fresh one since I found these Schwarzbier to be okay.

Bottled. A red beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Sample from 50 cl bottle. Clear, dark amber color with a dense, off white head. Sweet aroma with toasted notes, caramel malts, yeasts and fruits. Taste is light. Bitter. Finishes dry and bitter with bread and toasted notes. Okay.

50 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a small off wjite head. Aroma is toasted malty, slight breadish. Toasted, toffee and caramelish. Dry and breadish finish.
