Our Leipzig-style Gose is pleasantly acidic with lime-like tartness and a little funk from our unique, indigenous mixed culture kettle souring process, all balanced by the spicy character of added coriander and a mineral-mouthfeel from the addition of hand-harvested French grey sea salt.

12oz can pours out a hazy gold topped with a ring of a head. Nose is citrus lime some lots of tartness. Taste is more of the citrus notes a great pucker tartness. Lots of lemon on this one.

Thanks! 355 ml. can sampled @ “Tim’s Christmas Tasting”. Bottled on 15.09.06. Light hazy golden, some white golden. Nose is very odd, urinal, spoiled apple, plastic, apple vinegar, fizzy sour lemonade,… Taste is equally weird, massively mineral, salty, urinal cubes, apple vinegar, light raspberry, mineral spoiled apple juice,… Thin, fizzy, hugely mineral. Very weird, almost chemical,… Part of me thinks that this is interesting, part of me thinks that this is too interesting. Too much but somewhat partially still oddly enjoyable. Also is this seriously spontaneously fermented like the can says?

Clear orange beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very funky, dirty, urine, more funk. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very salty, sourish, lemony, funky. Aftertaste: more salt, lime and lemon, some vinegar, raspberry flavour.

Can shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks drfabulous for this can! Hazy golden. Pleasant aroma, lactic, zesty, with vinegar, coriander, citrus. Sour flavor with lacto, vinegar, citrus, and a salty finish. Light-bodied. A bit too sour, but nice.

12 oz. can, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Nose is quite acerbic, with lots of citrus, some coriander, and a little funk. Flavour is lovely, with lots of citrus tang, quite funky, and loads of salt. Haven't had such a salty gose before I don't think. Bright, refreshing, salty and tangy. Wonderful stuff.

Can. Pours a very clear gold with very little head and aromas of funk, metal and honey. It has a bit of a landfill edge to it, but that’s maybe just that odd combo of metal and funk... Flavor is a similar juxtaposition of sweet and sour with meta as the amalgam and a little salt as the catalyst... or something. I want to like this more, but it seems so rough around the edges that I can’t quite fully embrace it...

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with an enormous foamy orange-white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was effervescent, tart, salty, yeasty, sweetish and had notes of pepper and Pez. The flavor was very tart and sour with Pez, citric acid, salt and almost vinegar. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.

12 oz can courtesy of csbosox. The pour is a hazed yellow golden with a one inch white crackling head. The aroma is tart lemon citrus along with bright acidity. The taste is sour lactic acidity up front, along with bright sour lemon juice and some lemon peel. Behind in the back is some funk and dirtiness. The Gose notes of salt and coriander are present though buried behind the bright acidic sour and funk and don’t appear until the beer warms. In general, the beer settles down some as it warms. The palate is light bodied with soft natural carbonation and lingering acidic sour and dirty funk. Just OK, over sour and not all that clean. Thanks Chris.

Can shared at the WWWW Mid Atlantic Summer Beer Tasting. Hazy amber, medium sized fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of tart lemon, doughy malt, mild salt. The taste is strong brine and lemon, pale malt. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering tartness.
