A traditional farmhouse ale made with a very expressive yeast strain that contributes an array of tropical fruit, spice flavors and aromatics. Brewed with a variety of harvest grains including barley, wheat, oats and rye as was likely the case with farmhouse brewers of yore. Poured from bottle thanks Adrien. Hazy lemon pour with effervescent head. Aromas of yeast funk wine and citrus. Taste is tart and crisp with a thin body.

750ML C&C. Poured by Adrien and brought by him, too. Golden orange appearance. 3 finger fluffy head. Wine barrel for sure is present, a light acetic nose, lactobacillus, european hops. A lot of carbonation in the mouthfeel here. earthy piney hops, mango and papaya. herbal, tangerine and citrus. interesting but not memorable.

Poured a hazy orange yellow color with a medium, frothy white head. Aroma had light sweet malts, some light funky floral notes, light hop bitterness. Flavor was light floral notes. Pretty refreshing.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is wood, wine, farmhouse funks, hints of vinegar, and fresh fruit. Taste is slightly sour. Mellow sweetness. Good amount of body. Not overly complex, but that might be playing in its favor. Dry and earthy towards the end. Nice.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Nikki's Liquors, 4/5/15, Bottled 12/19/14.
Aroma: The aroma is fresh Belgian yeast, citrus/lemon, floral, and spice notes, light oak notes.
Appearance: Pours a murky yellow color with a thick, frothy white head and heavy lacing on the glass.
Flavor: The taste is similar to the aroma, nice yeast presence, spice, and some light barrel flavors.
Palate: The body is medium, slightly over carbonated, mild oak feel, fairly dry finish.
Overall Impression: I actually thought the aroma was excellent here. The saison yeast gives a really nice freshness. The flavor is still enjoyable, but there's a little too much of the barrel. I like this, but I think the barrel aging may have been unnecessary.

Pours 1/4 hazy gold and 3/4 bright white head into a tulip. Head slowly recedes leaving tophats and gloppy lacing. Dusty grape skin, biscuit, and hay aromas. Sharp with sour summer fruit and oak upfront turning dusty yeast in the lasting bitter earth finish.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, medium and a bit gushing bubbly head, light cloudy yellow color, yeasty aroma with cheesy notes and a hint of glue, flavour of almond with some fruits, medium piercing, but quite pleasant sourness. Nice.

Pours a pale straw from a bottle. Aroma is a slight barnyard/hay with light fruit. Flavor is a light apricot with some breadiness. A nice bitterness on the end.

Bottle - turbid gold - rather lively carbonation - nose is kind of estery (gum, banana, tropical fruit) and surprisingly sweet, with some mild phenolics - soft texture - flavor begins with dry, grainy malt flavors - moderate acidity through the middle before closing with the mix of esters present in the nose - I was hoping for subtle complexity but got simplicity instead - not exactly a disappointment, but I would not buy it again.
