Mocha Machine is a well-engineered endeavor in massive aromatics and rich flavors. Brewed with an array British and German malts, this burly brew is infused with masterfully roasted coffee from Portola Coffee Lab in Costa Mesa, CA. It is then aged on cacao nibs from Ecuador, adding an awesomely deep dimension of fudge.

Draft at mikkeller sf. Aroma of strong roasted coffee beans, mocha and malt. Taste of roasted espresso, mocha, caramel, soft licorice and a bitter coffee finish. Very good.

Bottle courtesy of JStax, thank you! Nearly black color, brown head with good retention. Aroma of double fudge brownies dipped in espresso. Taste is sweet rich fudge and dark roast coffee, mild earthiness, great body. Delicious.

Wow super well-balanced dialed in Imperial order. Aroma is lots of cocoa and coffee. Flavor is like nose sweet dominates but not overly so. Perfect body in Finnish. Great drinking beer.

(On tap @ Bottlecraft Liberty Station, SD, April 1/17) Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of roast cacao nibs, medium-full roast coffee, not too aggressively bitter though, with nuts, semi-sweet dark malts, nice and full. Flavour full of chocolate and cacao, pretty strong dark coffee, somewhat sweet dark malt, light vanilla, low roasted grain character, relying on the coffee for light roast. No alcohol. Medium full body, smooth carbonation. Pretty coffee focused, conveys the mocha flavour well, not exceptionally complex but pretty polished.

Dark brown colour, mediocre head retention. The aroma clearly shows coffee, not bad in doing so. Moderately sweet, some malt and caramel flavour, delicate coffee, but the malt flavour is not very deep, the finish is structurally weak, the alcohol is noticeable, overall it's not complex.

Black color, medium brownish head. Nice aroma of ground coffee, cocoa, truffles. Full bodied and smooth; the dark malt is not too roasty, blends well with the coffee and the dry cocoa, and the moderate sweetness.
Excellent.

Medium brown. Thin head. This has a heavy coffee aroma, roasty and a bit earthy. Nutty and roasty coffee character...some sweeter caramelly sugars...body is a bit lighter than a 9.2% beer would bring, but still decent. Not a bad beer but this is too coffeeish for me.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings dry cocoa nibs and espresso upfront, with a touch of roast. Flavour is heavy, with a good balance between the espresso and cocoa nibs. Light roast that probably mostly comes from the coffee. Thick-bodied that coats the palate. Finishes moderately sweet, with a good trace of coffee. Excellent.

Poured from the tap. Near black with beige head. Lots of mocha, excellent blend of espresso with lots of chocolate rounding everything out.
