Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Tilburgs Bierfestival 2015. Hazy amber, creamy white head. Nose is odd & very yeasty, way too much mold yeast in a BE fashion obscuring everything else. Taste is milky yeast dominating everything, stone fruit, bad yoghurt,… Pure yeast body,… Nope, this isn’t it. (Thanks for sharing!)

Amber to copper in colour. Some grass in the aroma. Hint of caramel in the background. Tastes a bit like an artificially sweet, malty lager.

Re-Rating (previous 4.4 - 4.4) Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 24C - amber). Bottle 33 cl - batch L01/20 (BBF 31/12/2021). AROMA: slight sweet aroma with an under attenuation character and slight solvent. high ester concentration. APPEARANCE: light amber color and slightly hazy. excessive ivory head with low retention. TASTE: mild malt sweetness with a caramel component resembling under attenuation. medium-low bitterness with a dry finish. faint solvent note. PALATE: low body with high carbonation. OVERALL: a poor amber biere de garde that lacks malt complexity.

Smell of malt, sugar, honey. Red amber colour, creamy white head. Aroma of yeast, grain, cardboard. Yeasty and sugary finish. Flat carbon, oily texture. Mostly sweet and slightly sour. Too yeasty, otherwise nice sweet/sour combo.
