Sampled cask @ In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces #4. 2013 Vintage. Dark brown, black with zero head. Nose is hugely vinous, coffee, red wine, sour oak,.. Taste is odd, too heavy on glue with far more pleasant aspects of vinous liquorish, cold coffee, oddly bozzy, roasted malt,.. Flat,.. Quite an interesting old style UK beer,… Interesting & fun but the glue taste etc. takes it down a bit. It would have probably benefited from some carbonation. (Thanks for sharing Benzai, Ceasar, tlahav,…. )

Brett cask @ In De Wildeman. Aroma has licorice and soy sauce - and that is what it looks like too! Also some leathery bretta tones. Flavour has sour cherry juice, some leathery tones from bretta, hints of licorice and soy sauce. Also some sweet berry juice tones and vinegar. Hides the ABV very well. Like a real ale version of oud bruin. Balanced but not my thing.

Great bretty porter. The roasted notes of the malt go very well with the bitter hops and the tardy brett. Tasty stuff.

Cask @ In de Wildeman, small sample. Dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of english breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee, some mocha. Bit sweet in taste, slight bitter, quite alcoholic. Weird off-putting aroma actually.

Gravity cask @ In De Wildeman (Brettfest 2014). Black color. No head. Aroma’s- from the glass: sourish, salty, vomit - retronasal: sourish, light sweet, soy sauce. Flavor: moderate sour, moderate sweet, salty. Rather full bodied. Slightly roasted malty & dry finish. Yuk.

Tap @ In de Wildeman. Opaque pitch black color, small beige head. I only get sourness and dark malts in the aroma. Taste malts, sourness, caramel, fruitpeel. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Not bad.
