RBESG 2019, Grand Tasting. Murky dark amber, small off-white head. Nicely oxidized, lots of malts, spices and dried fruit. Toasty, caramel and malts flavours. Super drinkable and very soft. Aged well.

Golden color. A light malt aroma with touches of peach fruit. Sweetish alcoholic flavor with peach and mango. Malty as ever, this beer, but the alcohol rules. A light bitterness in the aftertaste. Average hellerbock.

RBESG 19 Grand Tasting. Expired in 2015, hah. Brown-amber body, light off whtie head. Sweet taste, brown sugar most of the way. Lean brown sugar-like malty taste, with the oxidation actually working in its favor some. Glad to have tried it!

Bottle. Unclear deep amber color with white head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel. Taste is caramel, raisins, chocolate, just a bit oxidized. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Quite nice!

Thanks to Kraddel. 500 ml. bottle sampled. BBF 11.03.2012. Yeah… Dark brown amber, little in the way of head. Nose is 100 % oxidation, akin to thin Coca-Cola mixed with sherry, thinned by age & lots of sweetness, big thin sherry note. Taste is pure oxidation, low carbonation, Coca-Cola mixed with sherry, nasty bitter leaves in the finish, off-putting, syrup,… Thinned by age / oxidation body, low carbonation. Totally gone, okay I suppose if not for the unpleasant aftertaste.

Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Dunkles Rotbraun, klar. Sehr gut.
