Clear dark brown cola-like beer, small aery irregular head, unstable, dissipates immediately, just like a glass of cola. Aroma: metallic, sweet, caramel, chloride, bit of hay, grains. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: bit sweet, metallic, caramel, raw grains, brown sugar. Aftertaste: sweet, brown sugar, metallic touch. Meh.

Bottle, 1.5%. Farty soy aroma, some tinned beef. Clear dark brown colour. The flavour is quite sweet. A lot like hvidtøl, only with a drier finish. Not a faro at all, of course.

25 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a slight redish glare and a small tan head. Roasted malt, light sweetish aroma. Sweet malt flavoured. Light carbonation mouthfeel. Sweet and caramelish to breadish flavoured into the finish.

Good dark, yellow-brown head over faintly red-shot, very dark brown beer. Small nose, rosewater, chocolate, slightly rotten. Dry main taste, nearly woody, but overlaid by a cloying artificial sweetness. Sticky, falsely thickened body. Not very much to enjoy. OK for children, but mine preferred the Blonde.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a good tan head. Smells like cooked malt. Medium body with coarse carbonation. Mildly sweet, slightly fruity. No bitter to mention. Turns watery as the carbonation goes. Still, it goes down rather pleasantly. We could use a beer like this in the United States.

(Bottle 25 cl) Brown, clear beer with a small off-white head. Nose of roasted malt and sugar. Although this has artificial sweeteners it doesn’t come out chemical or artificial. Thanks to that this is a pleasant and easy to drink table beer. 080599
