On tap at the Source and the only 5$ taster I went for, great sours but you pay a higher than average price for tasters. Then again they’re worth it. Awesome purple-red color with a purple-white head of foam. Very tart rich raspberry aroma. Super dry light body with an awesomely tart raspberry flavor that is like drinking raspberry juiced distilled into a tart essence. Acidic but wonderful.

Sample at The Source. The beer is a slightly cloudy reddish-mahogany color with a medium fluffy white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of oak, berries and yeast. Medium body with flavors of tart raspberries, herbal yeast, vinous oak and malt. The finish is moderately sour with a raspberry aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Crooked Stave Tasting Night; hazy dark ribena red pour with a creamy light pink head, sour red fruits aroma, taste has raspberry and some vanilla, a hint almond, a hint of citrus, excellent.

375 ml. bottle sampled @ “Brazilian Tasting”. Bottled during 02/2014. Obtained in a trade with AdamJackson. Double waxed! Dark red raspberry little tanned head at the sides. Nose is big sour, vinegar acidic, big sourness, puckering very thick raspberry, big fruit & wine quality,… Taste is puckering vinegar, acidic, sourness is very big, acidic, tart lemon acidity, great quality even if very sour, your pallet adjusts very quickly, sour wood wine, vinous character is big, thick wine mixed with very thick raspberry, real fruit & not jam quality, wood, rich fruit, berries, chewy malts,… Rich fruit & wine quality with fitting acidity,… Wonderful stuff.

375ml bottle courtesy of and shared with Tderoeck and 77ships. Bottled 02/2014. Acajou trouble, col moyen blanc-cassé. Arôme est juste énorme au niveau des framboises, note terreuse de fruité fraichement récolté, le murissage en barrique ajoutant une belle complexité vineuse et fruité rouge. Palais est également fort au niveau des framboises qui gardent toute leur saveur organique et terreuse. Le tout procurant un profil légèrement aigrelet fruité, presque épicé mais qui est bien en balance avec l’usage du fût de chêne et de vin rouge. Framboise persistante, râpeux en bouche et offrant une pointe de picotement. Superbe.

Clear dark ruby red to purplish beer, big aery off-white to beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very sour, vinegar, chlorine, tannins, bit off, more vinegar. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots and lots of vinegar acidity, bit fruity, very sharp sourness, no subtleties, nope, nope! Aftertaste: more sour, very astringent, don't like!

Bottle shared at the 5K/7.5K/10K tasting - who has a 7.5K tasting? big thanks to Bropey 7.5K guy - a bro fo sho, 30/12/14. Hazed reddish amber with a moderate light tan covering. Nose is big tangy fruit rinds, red berry must, wood, spice, farmyard, dank strokes, hint of vanilla. Taste comprises tangy red berry, tarte raspberry, musty wood, light fruited balsams, funk. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a well balanced acidic rise. Solid sour red.

The beer is a fairly dark reddish brown color. It’s quite cloudy, just a flat mass of color. The head is smallish and light tan, and it’s mostly dissipates after a minute. The aroma is wonderfully rich with raspberry flavor. Big and jammy. A little bit of other fruitiness bouncing around. Maybe a bit of buttery papaya, very pleasant. Relatively light touch of vinegar and funk. Some oak contributes a background woody vanilla character. Taste is medium-strong tart. Tons more fruit. It has all of the flavor of ripe raspberries with the tart underripe zing. Finishes fairly dry. Mild oak flavor, again mostly vanilla. Great berry pucker. Otherwise, the mouthfeel is fairly light, though the beer definitely coats the mouth. Wonderful sour with berries for days.

5 Kay, 7.5 Kay, 10 Kay Tasting. Thanks to Scopey. Light haze on this deep amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry and a little crisp. Mildly sour dark raspberry. Mild lemon acid. Lesser generic dark fruits. Trace of balsamic. Light smooth finish. Not too tart and it’s decently fruity.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Soapy! Pours unclear garnet with a frothy, light tan head. Pleasant semi-ripe raspberry aroma with some old wood, mild funk, earth. Light sweet flavor, nice tart berry zing, some acetic bite, juicy raspberries, light bitter pit. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Brisk and refreshing on the finish with sturdy acidity, more tart raspberries, modest woody dryness. Excellent.
