Light in colour yet strong and misleading beer, inspired to Tripel beers, a Belgian beer-style born in abbeys. We decided to deconsecrate this style with loads of American hops. Flavor and taste play on the fine balance between dry patisserie and mature fruits, with a dry end. One more of it could hurt you.

Medium, faintly yellow head over veiled golden beer, seemingly low on carbonation. Spicy, herbal, white candi sugar, not very outstanding. Dry, and mineral-salty, in an extremely unpleasant way - decaying shrimp. Feels better carbonated than it looks, medium bodied, alcohol. Awful. Don’t know what went wrong, but this is undrinkable to me, sorry.

Cloudy yellow, white froth. Malty aroma with hoppy notes and perhaps a little spice. Quite sweet and fruity flavour with glue or acetone - a lot actually, which also dominates the aroma eventually. Don’t mind sniffin glue, but this is a bit too much.

250 ml. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Almost clear dark orange, creamy white. Nose is sweet but dull, lots of sweetness, white sugar, cornflakes, candy orange peel,… Taste is huge white sugar, cornflakes, orange peel, caramel, yeast,… Slick body but it feels empty & just a bunch of sweetness, white sugar, cornflakes etc. I suppose that this is good for fans of tripels but I simply do not get the appeal of something this shallow, sweet & one note even if there is nothing terrible about it. It is actually quite okay for what it is.

(Keg at Punavuoren Ahven, 20150513) The beer poured golden and almost clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, citricness and piny hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, honey, citricness, sweetness, booze and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet,.warming and bitter. A vert drinkable brew but alcohol pushed through too much in the finish.

Tap @ Punavuoren Ahven, kalakierros 2015. Poured hazy amber with a thick white head. Sweet floral aroma, apricots and some peppery notes. Flavor quite similar, floral hops, Belgian yeast, apricots semisweet finish. Quaffable, a nice tripel.
