At brewery. Aroma is lightly cheesy, nice sourness, little bit of fruit, like a cuvee de ranke but underpowered. Good though.

Bottle, as Cuvée Adina. 2014 vintage. It pours a clear, if poured carefully, golden colored body with just a few bubbles as a head. Mostly funky aroma, with lemon, barnyard, hay and grass. Some pale Belgian ale as well, might be the age, might be the saison, or just the combination. It’s dry, almost tart on the palate, with a soft carbonation and a medium body fullness. Rather smooth flavor with hay, pale malts, grass, lemon notes and a funky barnyard touch. Long funky, lemony finish with grass notes. A very pleasant and refreshing beer in many ways, but it’s sort of boring. Guess the age has something to do with it, but it might also be that two goods doesn’t make one fantastic. 170705

Fra flaske på Haand Ølfestival 29 Mai 15. Delt med Rune. Lys gylden. Lavt, litt farget skum. Tett lacing. Forsiktig fruktaroma. Smaken svakt syrlig. Belgisk preg. Blir veldig tørr etter hvert.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the brewery. Bottled on 4 February 2014, so I’ve had this one for a bit. Pours a fetching clear yellow-gold with a virginal white cream on top. Moderate lemon notes in the nose, subtle grassy funk, a bit of melon, grapefruit pith. Light sweet flavor, quite dry, with a firm hit of lemony acidity, some bitter grass, accents of musty wood, lemon rind. Light bodied with active, spritzy carbonation. Drying and acidic on the finish, with more tart lemon, bitter grass and citrus rind, some old wood and very soft funk, slight minerality. Great stuff overall. Very refreshing.
