Another pairing of hops and citrus. The juicy fruit punch of Motueka hops is offset by the zing of fresh lime zest; all backed up by a classic Saison yeast character.

Pale yellow amber, slight haze, dense white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft citrus zest, slight herbal notes, getting the lime, soft yeast, light fruits, interesting aroma
Taste of citrus zest, some spicy hops, lime, slight herbal note, bit peppery, lemon zest, soft saison yeast, very light sweet pale malts, slightly unusual

Overall - Interesting - hoppy for a saison, saison notes more subdued than normal for the style

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras, just to annoy Ken. Cloudy gold colour with lasting white head. Lime and hop aroma. Tasty saison in mouth. Drinkable and sessionable and some hop on the finish. Refined balanced lime throughout. Good easy drinking saison

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Pours nice and fresh with a vibrant golden yellow colour. Tastewise it’s pretty much a standard saison, really tried to pick out a little lime but no cigar unfortunately. Couldn’t really get anything else that distinguished it from any other saison. It was nice, if a little unremarkable.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the brewery. Pours mostly clear, bright gold, highly effervescent with a large, lasting frothy white head. Lots of dry wheat in the nose with nips of lemon and dough. Light to medium sweet flavor with further doughy wheat, nips of yeast, light bitter straw, background impressions of lime, a bit of citrus rind. Light bodied with lively, massaging carbonation and an airy mouthfeel. Lightly drying to finish, quite clean, with semi-sweet, dried wheat, a bit of tangy citrus, some lemon-lime, very mild bitter straw. Wonderful saison. Doesn’t have the depth of some of the BBNo saisons but it does have the exceptional mouthfeel and drinkability.

Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Straw colour. Sticky, bright white head. Yeasty, hay, zest, hint of lime. Taste is dry, but has an underlying, light sherbet sweetness. Fresh and lively palate. Dry, mouthwatering finish.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy pale golden body with tiny yeast particles floating around. Fluffy white head, lively carbonation, nice lacing. Aroma of lime, lemongrass and flower petals. Refreshing flavour of lime sherbet, cloudy lemonade and slightly sour yeast. Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. A sessionable summer Saison. If I’m being hyper critical, the finish could be drier and spicier.

330ml bottle. Pours light gold with a medium, frothy head. Aroma is very faint, some farmhouse yeast and lime. Taste has lime cordial to start with a yeasty co2 finish.

Keg, Craft Clapham, with Liz, Simon, Ang & John on Friday 17th January 2014 Pale gold very light, really refreshing, tasty beer. Soft in the mouth, little fizzy in mouth, just a bit thin maybe, but I like it. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5
