375ml bottle from 16th liquor store, tasted at Brian’s. Aroma is burnt malt, some woody and grassy character and some sherry notes. Taste is pretty the same character with some residual sweetness. Very good one if you like burnt malt beers.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. No lie that this is black as a ball. As good as jet black in the glass with a nice brown head light lacing head. It has a strong nose containing of wood, cognac, dark chocolate and licorice. Quite nice, and it has lots of flavor as well. The first thing that pops in my head is chocolate box. There's slightly mouthdrying wood and licorice here also. Ends with a lingering dark roasted aftertaste. Really solid! 03.05.2014

Gelungen. 10/11/11/11/8/11

Courtesy of and shared with Hrabren, huge thanks! Small brownish tan head, OK retention. Pitch black body. Whoa... cocoa assault with some raisin undertones in the aroma, chocolate-covered cereal, but the barrel(s?) aren’t extremely evident, which is great, because the aroma is quite awesome. Creamy, fresh. Taste...ooooh.... again, dark chocolate owns this lovely, lovely brew. Sherry and cognac? Wouldn’t be able to tell. Nevertheless, this is insanely good. Silky, smooth, never overbearing, with the dark chocolate flowing seamlessly into a bitterish finish. Not bursting with complexity but wow... WOW! Maybe, maybe trace of citric tartness, subdued herbal notes woven perfectly into the silky, smooth, roasty bitter chocolate. Had 5 To Øl beers - all were from very good to fucking awesome. This is fucking awesome.

0.375 bottle from Hoppiness, Koper, Slovenia, shared with Marko. Black with frothy beige head. Dark chocolate and coffee aroma, milky. Creamy, bitter, dry, coffee, roasty character, full body, strong coffee-like dry finish. No fruit notes, just strong, dark aromas :) Excellent
