Bottle (from Koht, Tallinn). Pours hazy golden with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is fruits, citrus, orange, tropical fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, orange, mandarins, caramel. Finish is grapefruit bitter. Overall: great brew. I guess (like with all the American brews) fresher bottle would get even higher rating.

A dark orange, strongly bubbling beer with a blond and big head. The aroma is great, tropical fruits and mangos, some fresh pine forest, only hint of fructose. Taste is balanced, fructose and bitterness, some tropical fruits, clearly tighter grapefruits. After the beginning and middle the taste is changed and the bitterness is becoming stronger and stronger, it’s very powerful, the end is harsh with resin and some pine needles. A hint of alcohol is warming in the throat. Medium+ bodied, strong carbonation, fresh. The great beer, balanced and surprisingly, the bitterness is getting stronger and stronger in the mouth, just great. Aromatic but harsh hoppyness, the glass is empty too soon, brilliant beer.

Kommentar: En øl som skuffer. Lurer på om det er noe galt med denne flastken og bør kanskje prøves igjen senere..

Nice unclear deep golden color with a nice off white head. Nice lacing. What a cracy aroma for a hophead. Perfect grapefruit hoppy! Mmmmmmm. Perfect body and a lovely balance. Average to soft carbonation. Grapefruit hoppy juice de luxe. If you are a hop head. Just run Forest. Take all the bottles you can get. Hard to find anything wrong with this one!

Orange color with beautiful big white head. Aroma is a real hop bomb. Super fruity and piney, but also a hint of booze. Taste is very bitter and fruity, but also with a heavy body and residual sweetness. Lingering bitterness. A bit boozy. Still well balanced! Smooth mouthfeel. A very good Californian Imperial IPA!

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with a big fluffy off white head, tangerine and grapefruit aroma, taste has bitter grapefruit, sweet caramel, zest citrus, tangerine, some mango, this kind of bold assertively hopped DIPA is right up my street, glad it was a bomber.

(650ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours a hazy medium orange with a huge whitish bubbly head that lingers for ages and leaves lace. Aroma sweet and hoppy with a pale and caramel malt core supporting lots of fruity, slightly resinous hops. Lychee apparent at first, mango, orange, a little passion fruit, also orange, citrus peel, floral notes, some resinous pine. On the palate, fairly sweet and tropically driven with passion fruit, mango, lychee blended with orange and grapefruit zest, some other fruit here, I think it’s strawberry?, pretty strong floral notes, a honey and moderate caramel malt sweetness forming the core. Sweet and fruity middle gives way to a fairly resinous finish where spruce and pine join florals and some lingering citrus zest and tropical fruit, moderate to high bitterness and a bit of alcohol heat. Medium bodied with medium carb. Surprised how well this has stood up to its shipment overseas, no obvious date but I am certain it is not extremely fresh. Still lots of lush fruity hop character balanced by an appropriate malt core and resinous bittering hops to dry. Maybe just a hair too boozy, but top DIPA nonetheless.
