La Luna Rossa was created with an initial sour beer which underwent 2 years of mixed fermentation (lactic bacteria, brettanomycetes). Then we added cherries for at least 6 months and we blended the new beer with a small part of other beers. La Luna Rossa is an ale that can remember a Kriek or a Flemish Red Ale. It has an extraordinary complexity associated with a strong character. For lovers of this kind of beers it is certainly hard to forget.

Pours dark reddish with a massive foamy head. Aroma of sour berries, bretta, wood, tartness, hints of ripe fruits and earthiness. Taste is smooth, sourish, sweet and juicy with loads of berries, hints of bretta and oak. Finish is stingy, tart and sourish with some bretta and berries. Good.

Bottled@Pub Winston Fest 2015. Hazy reddish brown coloiur with a small head. Aroma is sour wood, some mild acidic notes as well as mild herbal and citric notes. Flavour is sour and tart wood, some mild yeast as well as some mild acidic notes.

Tap (VI FDP). Barwa miedziano-czerwona, piana kremowa, slaba, nietrwala. Aromat intensywny, winny, owocowy z delikatna nuta wanilii. W smaku kwasne, takie mega sour. O ile w aromacie byla wanilia to w smaku aromatow beczkowych brak. Posmak mega kwaskowy. Piwo specyficzne, kwasne ale w sumie lekkie w odczuciu.

Hazy red color with small head, but beautiful lacing. Sweet-sour cherry flavour, wood, nice funk. Taste is strong, cherries, wood, sour, great balance, low carbonation, just a little tickle on the tongue. Warming finish.

Murky, amber-pinky-brown color, tiny off-white head. Intensive sweet cherry, bretta, rose berry aroma. Medium-bodied, liquerish palate. Tart, cherries/Kirschberry in the flavor. Hints of cherry stones and wood. Lingering fruity tartness. Very fruity, balanced and drinkable wild beer. Deliciously fruity.

A slightly hazy amber beer with some darker auburn tints to it and a small, off-white head that is poorly retained.
Vigorously acetic in the nose, with light alcohol heat notable on the end, as well. Fruity and playful, certainly, with cherries and plentiful caramel and raisin-like malt notes joining in the mix. Good leathery funk to it as well and overall appropriate for a sour red, though the aggressive acetic notes coupled with the strong caramel malt-like presence makes me nervous for the flavor.
An explosion of very sour vinegar notes, full of dry leather, wood and cherry skin is quickly combated by residual sugars lending a strong caramel/toffee flavor. Tart cherries and raisins enter the mix, throw some alcohol in there too and voila! you have quite a rollercoaster ride of a beer. Carbonation is low, but fairly engaging, while the sugars and slippery acetic notes give the beer a very soft texture. I like the core sourness here and you can taste the cherries, which I think are the best part, but the sweetness and monotonous acetic sourness bludgeon the palate until, taken with the 8% abv, it’s just way too much by the third or fourth sip.

cuvee 2010, from beergium.com clear brown, small brown head. Very nice sweet and sour fruity vigniarette like vinegar aroma. flavor is sour, wood, wild notes, some vineagra, bitter woody notes, very complex and very tasty. great blend, very high complexity with lots of flavors to sample.

Flaska @ god vän, tack Frode. Smutsbrunröd vätska utan nämnvärt skum. Syrlig, bärig doft av körsbär och tydliga fattoner av ek. Inledande smörklick i smaken som gör att njutningen tvärdör. Syrlig endimensionell smak utan något annat. Här händer det inte mycket.
