Draught. Deep reddish black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet chocolaty mudcake with coffee, some roast and mild vanilla. Flavour is rather ashy, some brunt brown sugary sweetness, vanilla and some roasted notes along with some chocolate. Chocolate grows as the beer gets warmer.

Fra flaske på årets siste Mi2, Cardinal des-16: sort som ibenholt, og med flott skum som varer. Den dufter og dufter og dufter....nydelig. Mørke sjokolader, vanilje, dessertkaffe og mørke malter. So smooth, rene eliksiren. Fet, rik smak med personlighet. Så fløyelsmyk at jeg tror den kan brukes mot tørr hud.

Bottle from Vinspecialisten, Aalborg. Black with a big and lasting dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, dark chocolate and cocoa. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 240915

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Dark brownish black with tan head. Aromas of big coffee, licorice, dark chocolate. Tastes of coffee, dark chocolate, light alcohol, slight dark fruit. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Light alcohol heat.

Bottle shared at chriso’s winter tasting 7/12/2014. Reddy / caramel brown coloured pour with a small halo of tan head. Aroma is Cocoa nibs, nutty, solvent, nutty. Flavour is composed of seet, coco nibs, praline, oak, vamnilla, little booze, hint of wood. Palate is smooth and full bodied, moderate carbonation. Really smooth and very tasty.
