Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small tan head. Aroma of coffee, dried fruit, chocolate, vanilla, bread and raw sugar. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Medium to full bodied with low carbonation. Pretty nice.

pitch dark, smooth large brown head. aroma is brown sugar, roasted malts, sweetish lacto flavor too. quite robust and strong aroma. Flavor is strong woody, ashes, roasted malts, caramel, herbal hoppiness, A quite herbal and hoppy flavor profile, also chilies i think, the sweetness is subdued, but the wood and chilies does not entirely fit into the rest.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Dense dark chocolate malty. Breadish and roasted. Sweet, roasted, chocolate and light vanilla. Lingering dark roasted finish. Rather bitter too.

Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and dark chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, socy sauce, liquorice, and alcohol, leading to a dry roasted and liquouricy finish. A bit odd for me.
