Another Alliteration is an iteration of our beloved Farmhouse Noir. After fermenting and aging this dark and delightful ale in one of our 90bbl foudres, we pushed it to wine barrels where we added raspberries and tabulated the progression of time. Fruit forward, with a prickly palate, we generously give you Another Alliteration. Sante!

A brown beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of brett, wood, alcohol, and vinegar. The flavor is sweet with notes of brett, raspberries, wood, and malt, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle thanks to Neemo. Pours a cloudy brown with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong raspberry, oak, funk. Thick mouth, jammy berry, oak, nice tartness, low acidity, really enjoyed this one.

2015 750mL bottle shared by AdamC on 3/26/16. Thanks!
Great pour. Dark, chocolate brown body is topped by a beige head with large volume and strong retention. Indeterminable clarity.
Vanilla, raspbery, oak and chocolate in the nose are all melded together fairly well. Light acetic and lactic character provide the tell-tale Americacn sour/wild-like nose. Maybe a bit of a surplus of aggressive acetic character, but not by much. Alcohol contained, with no flaw.
In the mouth it’s full of dark black pepper and brown bread with a strong lactic dryness that gives way to tart raspberries. Pretty textbook dark fruited sour and the flavors are all elegantly polished. Bitter chocolate, vanilla, sour acids and only a hint of caramel round out the beer. I didn’t find it too sour, though I could see how some could, the raspberries adding even more dry/tart character to the palate. Carbonation is high, mostly tight and really accentuates the tart, fruity and sour notes (which is not necessarily a good thing). Nicely concealed on the alcohol, clean and just a bit too much acid overall.

750 ml bottle thanks to AdamChandler. Dark brown color, thin lasting head, aroma is old raspberry, mild oak, mild

Mild oak, old berry, nice tartness. Medium in body, lots of berries. Pretty massive pucker in the glands. After 5 oz. the pucker gets to be a tad fatiguing. Still pretty nice.

From a trade, can’t remember how I got this one.

A - Dark brown, reddish edges. almost no head. The cap didn’t pop at all

S - Smells really sour. Cherry, raisin, kiwi, lime, lemon. Oak and a lot of berries.

T - whoa, sour. There’s balance but it’s very acidic. Berry is present, wine is here. It’s all around a lot of flavor but boy, it’s very sour.

M - Mouthfeel is thin, almost fleeting

O - This was decent. The ABV is well hidden, not sure this should be classified as a saison.
