The Podge Belgian imperial Stout was aged for several months on wine barrels from the french Bourgogne. The beer has subtle winearomas with accents of red fruit and chocolate. Special Burgundian Babblebelt Edition.

Bottle at home 2009 edition. Thnx Countbeer for giving me this way back... now had the time. Dark red brown beer small head. Aroma sour malt. Taste is sour malt wine chocolate, choco bitter hint. Very nice. Aged quite well.

Appearance: Black color. Medium, light brown head.
Taste: Medium sweet, wine, light sourish, malty.
Palate: Full body. Sticky texture. Warm, dry finish.
Overall: Interesting. Too much wine-, little stout-character.

Tap@Fermentoren, Copenhagen (12/06/2016) - pours dark brown verging black with a tan head. Roasted malty aroma and taste, with chocolate, some coffee, caramel, red win soaked wooden nuances, slight sourness before the roasty finish.

Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish mineraly, soil, sour grass, dark malts, oak, minerals, weeds, soda powder, bark. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, weeds, dark malts, sour grass, minerals, oak, soil, bark, berry skin. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.
