La FrancheFleur is a blond beer with high fermentation, hoppy, unsweetened, floral and refreshing.
Each year, several hundred kilos of flowers are harvested and drowned in apple wine. From there comes our delicious Fleur de Franchimont!
After a maceration of several months, the flowers are removed. They are then used as raw material to make La FrancheFleur, and give it its character! The use of elderflower gives a dimension and a unique and very appreciable palate.

The elderflower adds a citrusy, flowery note to this ale, dry palate, lemony nose. Slight flowery aftertaste. Close to a witbier in character. Different.

Clear blond beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable. Aroma: very fruity, exotic fruits, citrus, bit spicy, dry, grains, bready. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: grains, bready, some vegetables, bitter, grassy. Aftertaste: some citrus, very bitter, grassy, grapefruits. Didn't get much floral notes in this one.

Tap pour is crystal clear gold with a full nearly fluffy dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up big floral flowery hoppy notes nuanced by some sugar sweetness as well as thin snippets of spicy Belgian yeast. The taste is pleasingly crisp and fresh and hoppy and is hitting the spot right now. I get floral hop notes that quickly head into hop bitterness to midway and on into the finish. Supporting the crisp hops is a light clean sweet sugary maltiness as well as a mild degree of complimentary spicy yeast notes. Nice crisp brew.

Draft.
