Seven Clouds was originally brewed with Grape & Grain to celebrate their 7th birthday. A celebration-worthy beer was required. Taiheke, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops from the Land of the Long White Cloud came to the party.
Double dry hopped with an all-Kiwi line up of hops gives Seven Clouds herbaceous, zesty, and gooseberry notes, showing off the fresh and floral characters unique to the growing conditions of New Zealand.
A soft, rounded malt backbone creates a creamy mouthfeel and texture thanks to the generous use of oats, which is then fleshed out with the addition of lactose.

Can. Almost opaque yellowish orange with a cm of white head. Juicy aroma of just ripe oranges, grass clippings, pineapple, hints of dried mango. 7+ Just medium bodied with lowish carbonation that really suits. Juicy but surprisingly clean for this sort of thing so that the modest bitterness just floats through at the end. I still find it difficult to guess which of these hazy IPAs I'm going to like and Hop Nation's offerings are maybe more baffling to me than most, but this is very nice: coherent, hoppy and has some subtle depth.

From a 375ml can on 8/3/2020. Pours a super hazy apple juice colour with a biggish head which disappears quickly. Has a slightly dank zesty fruit nose to it. Tastes reasonably sweet up front with citrus and tropical fruit to the fore, but there's a lovely subtle bitterness with peel and spice that brings everything together beautifully. The mouthfeel is thick and a touch creamy with average carbonation. This is a real treat - quite bold, yet balanced and very moreish.
